Terms of service

These terms apply when you buy from The Teddy Society at www.theteddysocietyuk.co.uk. By placing an order you agree to them. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Who we are

The Teddy Society is a UK-based business selling original illustrated apparel, printed to order in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@theteddysocietyuk.co.uk.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm the order has been accepted. We may decline an order if the item is unavailable, if there is a pricing or description error, or if we suspect fraudulent use of a payment method.

Because every item is printed after you order, we can usually only amend or cancel an order before it goes to print. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change something.

Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is charged separately and shown at checkout before you pay. We take payment at the point of order. If a price is listed incorrectly we will contact you before processing and you may cancel without charge.

Products and printing

Every garment is printed to order. Because printing is done by hand, small variations in print position of a few millimetres are normal and are not considered a fault. Colours may appear slightly different on screen depending on your display.

Please follow the care instructions supplied with your item. Damage caused by tumble drying, ironing directly on the print, or washing at high temperatures is not covered.

Delivery

Delivery times and charges are set out on our delivery page. Dispatch estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and delays caused by couriers are outside our control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

Returns

Your cancellation and refund rights are set out in full in our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

Intellectual property

All artwork, illustrations, designs, photographs and written content on this site are original works owned by The Teddy Society. You may not copy, reproduce, resell or use our designs commercially without written permission. Buying a garment gives you the garment, not a licence to the artwork.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site unlawfully, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or to scrape or copy its content for commercial purposes.

Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any of your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, our liability in connection with an order is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

Complaints and governing law

If something has gone wrong, email hello@theteddysocietyuk.co.uk and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
